    Childern are the Future of the Game

    Free Youth Baseball Clinics

    The Bucks and each HCBL team offer free baseball clinics for area youth during June and July. All instruction is closely supervised by the team coaches and players and will range from the fundamentals to advanced techniques. 

     

    Participants should arrive with basic equipment:

    a. glove, cap, bat

    b. baseball pants or sweatpants

    c. t-shirt or sweatshirt

    d. sneakers or rubber cleats, no metal

    e. water or other drinks, and a snack

     

    Other equipment (extra bats, balls, etc.) will be provided by the team.

     

    Rules of respectful behavior in a group setting will be honored by all participants. Ability, maturity, and experience will be considered when assigning participants to age groups.

    Parents are welcome to view clinic activities.

     

    Become a participant in the Bat Person Program.

    This traditional role is an integral part of all baseball teams. The Role involves ensuring that all the players’ on-field needs are met so everyone can play their best!

    As a participant in this role you will get to meet and talk with the players and coaches; learn inside tips on what “pro ball’ is all about and see every play from on the field.

     

    This job is not for everyone – the position is a demanding job requiring stamina and a positive attitude. Every day holds a unique experience often with tight timelines. The role requires you to be smart, dependable, alert, and flexible. This role is a time commitment of 2 – 4 hrs on game days. 

     

    Participants must be 10 years or older by May 30th 

    Available for a minimum of 75% (25 of 34) of all home games

    Parents must sign a Likeness Agreement authorizing the use of photographs and other media during the performance of the participant's duties.

    Prospective applicants and their parents must be aware that they may see and hear things from adult players that may be inappropriate for children. These things do unfortunately occur. This information should be considered before making this commitment.
